In India, we still face a lot of network problems. Every network provider has some issue or the other. Some companies have good network in one area, while others don’t. Because of this, it becomes difficult to decide which network is best in our area.
But now, you can easily check which company has the strongest signal in your location. Based on that, you can choose the best network for yourself.
I’m going to tell you how to check the network in your area and what TRAI’s new rule says about it.
TRAI Mobile Coverage Map 2025
Good news for mobile users! Now you can check the best mobile network in your area while sitting at home.
TRAI (Telecom Regulatory Authority of India) has told all telecom companies (like Jio, Airtel, and Vi) to publish network coverage maps on their websites. This will help users know which company provides the best signal and internet speed in their area.
New Rules from TRAI
TRAI made a new rule called:
“Standards of Quality of Service of Access (Wireline & Wireless) and Broadband Service Regulations, 2024”.
This came into effect on 1st October 2024.
All telecom companies had to upload their network coverage maps by 1st April 2025.
How to Check Mobile Network Coverage
These maps show how strong 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G signals are in different areas.
They are easy to use, with color coding and search options. You can also turn on your location to directly check signal strength where you are.
You can even filter the maps by technology, like checking only for 5G or 4G.
Consumer Info > Mobile Coverage Map > [Choose your service provider]
You will see a full map showing coverage in your area.
Give Feedback or Report Issues
If you find any issue with the signal, you can give feedback or report problems directly through the map.
TRAI also said that actual signal strength might be a little different from the map, especially inside buildings, because coverage can change due to many factors.
Useful for Everyone
These coverage maps are helpful not only for users but also for government planning, digital projects, and telecom policies. Now, data-based decisions can be made more easily using real coverage data.
