India Global Mobility Expo 2025
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the event and addressed the expo, remembering Ratan Tata and Osamu Suzuki. He said, “India’s auto industry is both fantastic and future-ready. Today, I will also remember Ratan Tata and Osamu Suzuki. These two great personalities have significantly contributed to the growth of India’s auto sector and fulfilling the dreams of the middle class.”
This year, the scope of the India Mobility Expo has expanded significantly. Last time, more than 800 exhibitors participated, and over 1.5 lakh people visited. This time, the expo is being held not only at Bharat Mandapam but also at Yashobhoomi in Dwarka and the India Expo Centre in Greater Noida.
The India Mobility Global Expo 2025 began on January 17. The day started with Maruti Suzuki unveiling its first electric car, the e-Vitara. Hyundai Motor India also launched its most affordable electric car, the Creta EV, with a starting price of ₹17.99 lakh.
On the first day, over 30 vehicles were revealed by leading automobile companies, including Mercedes, BMW India, Tata Motors, Hero MotoCorp, MG, and Porsche. Here’s a look at the cars that were unveiled or launched on the first day.

- Maruti Suzuki: Unveiled its new electric SUV, e-Vitara.
- Hyundai: Showcased its luxury MPV, Staria.
Suzuki Motorcycles India: Revealed its first electric scooter, e-Access, along with the Gixxer SF 250 Flex Fuel bike and Access 125 petrol scooter.
Hero MotoCorp: Launched several models: Xtreme 250R, Xplus 210, Zoom 125 and Zoom 160 scooters, the first HF Deluxe Flex Fuel bike, and the updated Hero Vida V2 electric scooter.
BMW India: Launched the X1 Long Wheelbase Electric SUV at ₹49 lakh.
Mercedes: Introduced luxury SUVs: EQS Maybach 680 Night Series (₹2.63 crore) and Maybach GLS 600 (₹3.71 crore).
- MG Motors: Revealed the futuristic Cyberster and the M9.
Tata Motors: Showcased the Sierra ICE version, Harrier Electric, and an updated concept model of Avinya.
Greaves Motors: Presented the Zyver electric bike with a range of 200 km.
Porsche: Launched the Macan SUV and showcased the updated Taycan Sports Seloon Kia: Unveiled the facelift model of the EV6.
This marks an exciting beginning for the Expo with a focus on electric and futuristic mobility.
Maruti e-Vitara

The e-Vitara is offered with two battery pack options: 49kWh and 61kWh. The company claims that the car can provide a range of over 500 kilometers on a full charge.
Production of this electric SUV will begin in February 2025 at Suzuki Motor Gujarat Private Limited’s plant. It is expected to be available for sale in Europe, Japan, and India by June. The company may reveal the price of the e-Vitara in March.
Hyundai Creta EV

Hyundai Motor India has launched its mid-size electric SUV, the Creta EV, starting at ₹17.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
The company has introduced 4 models of the Creta EV: Executive, Smart, Smart (O), and Premium. It is Hyundai’s most affordable electric vehicle.
According to the company, the Creta EV offers a range of up to 473 km on a full charge and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.9 seconds.
The SUV also features over 70 safety options, including a Level-2 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS). It is available with two battery pack options: 51.4 kWh and 42 kWh.
