Kesari Chapter 2 Teaser
The teaser for Kesari Chapter 2, starring Akshay Kumar, Ananya Panday, and R Madhavan, was released on Monday. This film is based on the tragic Jallianwala Bagh massacre, one of the darkest events in Indian history. The teaser introduces a new perspective on this significant historical event.
In the teaser, Akshay Kumar plays the role of a brave lawyer, Sir C Sankaran Nair, who challenges the British Empire. Unlike the previous Kesari movie, which was about the Battle of Saragarhi, this sequel focuses on the events surrounding the Jallianwala Bagh massacre.
Powerful Teaser
The teaser starts in an unusual way. Instead of showing any visuals, it features heart-wrenching cries, screams, and gunshots. These sounds immediately create a tense and serious mood, preparing the audience for a powerful story.
After this intense opening, Akshay Kumar appears as a lawyer in a courtroom scene, where he boldly fights against British rule. In one moment, a British officer says to him, “You are still a slave to the British Empire.” Akshay Kumar responds with just two strong words, silencing him completely.
Sharing the teaser, filmmaker Karan Johar wrote,
“When truth roared louder than the empire – a revolution painted in courage was born. #KesariChapter2 TEASER OUT NOW! Witness the untold story of Jallianwala Bagh.”
The Story Behind Kesari Chapter 2
The first Kesari movie, released in 2019, was based on the Battle of Saragarhi, where 21 Sikh soldiers of the 36th Sikh Regiment bravely fought against 10,000 Pashtun tribesmen in 1897. Akshay Kumar played the lead role alongside Parineeti Chopra.
Now, Kesari Chapter 2 focuses on a different historical event – the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. This event took place on April 13, 1919, when British troops, led by General Dyer, fired on a peaceful gathering of Indians in Amritsar, killing hundreds of innocent people.
In this film, Akshay Kumar plays Sir C Sankaran Nair, a real-life Indian lawyer and freedom fighter who fought for justice after the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. He took the British government to court and stood against their cruel actions.
On March 20, Karan Johar announced that Kesari Chapter 2 would introduce a new filmmaker, Karan Singh Tyagi. He shared that the director worked on this project for 4-5 years and faced many delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The film is produced by Dharma Productions, Cape of Good Films, and Leo Media Collective.

Jallianwala Bagh
– many people from the new generation might not know about this story. But when we were kids, we were taught and told about Jallianwala Bagh. I feel that every Indian must know about it because it is an important part of our history.
Nowadays, students studying in private schools might not be aware of this incident, as they are not taught about it in their curriculum. However, I strongly believe that all students should know about Jallianwala Bagh, and it should be included as a chapter in our syllabus.
For those who still don’t know about it, they can either read about the incident or wait for the upcoming movie to learn about it. I will also write about Jallianwala Bagh in my article, so whenever I publish it, make sure to read and learn about this important part of history.
