How to Apply Online for Indian Overseas Bank Local Bank Officer?
Before start of filling-up of application through online mode, the candidates should keep ready the following documents/details:
Valid Email Id and mobile number for proper communication. It suggested to provide personal email id and mobile number.
Scan copy of recent passport size color Photograph (Photo should be recent), signature, experience certificate, mark sheet, cast certificate etc.
Candidates visit the official website of Indian Overseas Bank iob.in.
Click on Career and under Recruitment of Local Bank Officer 2025-26 “Apply Online”.
Open the link “Recruitment of Local Bank Officer-2025-26” and click on the option “Apply Online” which will open a new screen.
To register choose the tab “Click here for New Registration”.
Fill all the details and summit. After submitting a Provisional Registration Number and Password will be generated. And same sent to the Candidates mail and SMS.
Candidates will have login with registration number and password.
Candidates have to fill all details carefully and upload some important documents like Photo, signature etc.
After submitting application, automatically redirect to payment page, click on the fee and pay the application fee and take print out the receipt.
After submitting the application, candidates take printout of the application for future reference.
Selection Process
Online Examination
All eligible candidates will first appear for an online test.
Language Proficiency Test (LPT)
Only those who qualify the online exam will be called for the LPT.
This test checks your ability to read, write, and speak in a particular language (usually the regional/local language of the posting area).
Personal Interview
Candidates who clear both the online exam and the LPT will be invited for a personal interview.
Important Note
Meeting the eligibility criteria does NOT guarantee that a candidate will be called for any stage of the selection process (online test, LPT, or interview).
Final shortlisting depends on performance at each stage and other selection norms set by the organization.
