Hardik Pandya pay fine Rs. 12 Lakh

Mumbai Indians Captain Hardik Pandya has been punished to pay fine Rs 12 lakh for maintaining slow over in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 match against Gujarat Titans (GT) on Saturday night in Ahmedabad, this report as per ESPNcricinfo.

Indian Mumbai has played two matches in the Indian Premier League 2025 so far, and they have faced defeat in both match.

Mumbai Indians (MI) captain Hardik Pandya has been fined ₹12 lakh for a slow over-rate during their IPL 2025 match against Gujarat Titans (GT) on Saturday night in Ahmedabad, according to ESPNcricinfo.

This was MI’s second match and second loss of the season, but it was Hardik’s first game as he missed the opening match due to suspension. The suspension was because of MI’s slow over-rate in their last game of IPL 2024 against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). However, this time, MI and Hardik avoided a stricter penalty, as the IPL has removed the rule for suspensions due to repeated slow over-rates. Instead, teams now face fines and in-game fielding restrictions.

This was the first slow over-rate penalty of IPL 2025 and came in the ninth match of the season. MI, with a pace-heavy bowling attack including Trent Boult, Deepak Chahar, Satyanarayana Raju, and Hardik Pandya, took longer than the allowed time to finish their overs.
