On Tuesday, 3.5 crore devotees took a dip in the Sangam in the first Amrit (royal) bath of Mahakumbh. The royal bath started at 6 am and ended at 6 pm. During this, saints of all 13 Akharas including Juna Akhara took bath.
After bathing, people have started returning from Prayagraj. A huge crowd was seen on the roads leading to the railway station and bus stand. There is no space left to set foot at Prayagraj railway station. People were stopped in the hall.
Passengers are being sent to the platform according to the trains. Railway PRO Amit Singh said that since this morning till now 55 Mahakumbh special trains have been dispatched.
Since Monday night till now, 4 people have died due to heart attack. Of these, 3 were admitted in Swaroop Rani Nehru (SRN) and 1 in Mela Central Hospital.

Night shelters, hotels full, people camped on the streets
When people felt that it was not possible for them to leave Prayagraj today, they turned to night shelters. But, all the night shelters are full. Thousands of people were seen in front of hotels and night shelters. People have set up camp on the roads.
On the first asnan (Bathing) Paush Purnima on Monday, 1.65 crore people took a dip in the Sangam. On Tuesday, 3.5 crore people took bath in Sangam. In this way, a total of 5.15 crore people has taken bath in Sangam in 2 days.
The saints reached the Ghats Chanting Har-Har Mahadev.
There was a wonderful scene of Amrit asnan at 6 in the morning. The monks reached the Ghats with swords, tridents and damru in their hands, chanting ‘Har-Har Mahadev’.
For the first time in Maha Kumbh, the word Amrit Sanan was used instead of Shahi Sanan. The Akharas had proposed changing the name.
