“Tata Motors Unveils the Reborn Sierra in Its ICE Avatar Ahead of 2025 Launch”.
Tata Motors has revealed the Sierra ICE concept at the ongoing Auto Expo 2025. This is the first time the company is showcasing what the ICE version of the upcoming SUV will look like. The iconic Sierra nameplate will be revived later this year, starting with the electric version, followed by the ICE model.
TATA Sierra Exterior Design
Front
The front of the Tata Sierra ICE concept looks tough and rugged, with modern features from the EV version, like the connected LED DRLs. Since it’s the ICE version, it includes a grille and a chunky bumper, giving the front a strong presence.
Side
The side of the Sierra ICE has an upright design, similar to the original, with plenty of body cladding to enhance its rugged look. The iconic rectangular rear quarter window is present, but in a split form. It also features multi-spoke alloys, giving it a unique identity compared to the standard model.
Rear
At the back, the Sierra has a minimalist design with slim, full-width LED tail lamps. A gloss black rear bumper with a silver skid plate completes the design.
TATA Sierra Interior Design
The cabin of the Sierra is quite different from the current Tata cars. The most noticeable feature is the three large screens, integrated into one panel that stretches across the entire dashboard. Yellow highlights add a touch of contrast, and the AC vents are sleek. The design is completed by a familiar four-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated logo.
At the rear, the Sierra features a bench seat layout with three adjustable headrests and a centre armrest.
Expected Powertrain Option in Tata
The technical specifications of the Tata Sierra haven’t been revealed yet. However, it’s expected to feature a 170 PS 1.5-litre T-GDI turbo-petrol engine. This would help set the Sierra apart from its ICE counterpart. In addition, the Sierra is likely to offer both diesel and electric powertrain options.
Expected Features
Like other Tata cars, the Tata Sierra is expected to be packed with features. It will likely come with three screens, dual-zone climate control, a wireless phone charger, a JBL sound system, powered front seats with ventilation, ambient lighting, and a panoramic sunroof.
For passenger safety, the Sierra will offer up to 7 airbags, ABS with EBD, front and rear parking sensors with a 360-degree camera, electronic stability control, ISOFIX child-seat mounts, and Level-2 ADAS.
Expected Price
The Tata Sierra is expected to be priced around ₹11 lakh (ex-showroom). It will compete with compact SUVs like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, VW Taigun, Maruti Grand Vitara, Honda Elevate, and MG Astor.
