The Sex Lives of College Girls

The popular comedy series The Sex Lives of College Girls will not return for a fourth season on Max. The streaming platform decided to cancel the show after three successful seasons.

Creators Respond to Cancellation

Co-creators Justin Noble and Mindy Kaling shared their thoughts on social media after the news broke.

Justin Noble posted on Instagram, saying he didn’t expect this outcome. He mentioned that the show was one of the most-watched scripted series on Max for about 70 days straight. Despite the cancellation, he revealed that there are talks with other platforms to possibly save the show.

He also expressed his disappointment about the lack of comedy series nowadays, saying, “We need comedy badly.” However, he is proud of the show for giving audiences something fresh—an ensemble comedy led by funny female characters.

Noble praised the cast and crew for their work and thanked Kaling for trusting him with the project. He also appreciated Warner Bros. and Max for believing in the show.

Mindy Kaling didn’t write a statement but posted a slideshow of photos from the show’s three seasons with a black heart emoji as the caption.
