On 1st May 2025, Mumbai Indians played an exciting match against Rajasthan Royals and defeated them by a massive 100 runs. With this win, Mumbai Indians secured their 6th victory of the season in IPL 2025.
Mumbai scored 217 runs in 20 overs, losing only 2 wickets. This match was played at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. Rajasthan Royals, in reply, could not chase the target and were all out, giving MI a huge win.

Five-time champions Mumbai Indians have now won six matches in a row, and with this, they have climbed to the top of the IPL 2025 points table. This is the third time in IPL history that Mumbai Indians have won six matches consecutively in a single season. They first did this in 2008, then again in 2017, and now in 2025.
Interestingly, whenever Mumbai has won five or more consecutive matches, they have almost always reached the final — except in 2008. In 2017, they even won the title. If this pattern continues, Mumbai Indians may reach the final again this year.

Though Rohit Sharma is not the captain this season, his performance has been key. Now, Hardik Pandya is leading the team, and he has already proved himself by winning the title with Gujarat Titans earlier. Suryakumar Yadav is also in great form, contributing to the team’s success.

Rohit Sharma is in outstanding form in IPL 2025. He has been consistently scoring runs in recent matches, and now he has broken a big IPL record. Only one player is ahead of him in the list.
In an important match, Mumbai Indians defeated Rajasthan Royals by 100 runs at home. Rohit Sharma opened the innings for Mumbai and played another brilliant knock, scoring 53 runs off 36 balls. With this, he achieved a new milestone in IPL history.

Mumbai Indians gave Rajasthan Royals a target of 218 runs. Rohit Sharma and Ryan Rickelton had a great start, adding 116 runs for the first wicket. Rickelton scored 61 runs from 38 balls. Rohit got out in the 13th over after scoring 53 runs, including 9 fours.
Later, Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya also played well, both scoring 48 runs off just 23 balls, remaining not out. In reply, Rajasthan Royals were all out for just 117 runs, giving Mumbai a big win.
