The area in front of his house is always crowded with admirers. His fans frequently visit the area, and there is always a crowd in front of his residence. However, it is disheartening for his fans to hear that Shahrukh Khan will be leaving his lavish home. This decision has left many of his fans worried.
Why is Shahrukh Khan Leaving Mannat?
Fans need not worry because Shahrukh Khan is moving out of Mannat only for a few months. He has decided to renovate his bungalow, which requires him to vacate the premises temporarily.
His wife, Gauri Khan, had submitted an application to the Maharashtra Coastal Zone Management Authority (MCZMA) for the extension of their home, which has now been approved. Gauri Khan had proposed adding two more floors to Mannat. Currently, Mannat is a four-story bungalow, but after the renovation, it will become a six-story residence. The existing four floors are already spacious, with dedicated spaces for security staff and even an office.
Where is Shahrukh Khan’s New Address?
Sources reveal that Shahrukh Khan has rented two luxurious duplex apartments in Pali Hill, Khar West. He has taken these apartments on a three-year lease.
One of the duplex apartments belongs to the Bhagnani family, specifically to actor Jackky Bhagnani and Deepshikha Deshmukh. Shahrukh Khan has leased this apartment for a monthly rent of ₹11.54 lakh, with a security deposit of ₹32.97 lakh.
The second apartment is owned by producer Vashu Bhagnani. Shahrukh Khan has leased this one for a monthly rent of ₹12.61 lakh, with a security deposit of ₹36 lakh.
So, while Shahrukh Khan is temporarily shifting from Mannat, fans can rest assured that he will return once the renovation is complete.
How Much time will Take for Renovation of Mannat?
According to sources, renovations at Mannat will begin in May and it will take almost two years. This includes a long-planned extension of the bungalow, which needed court approval. Since Mannat is a Grade III heritage building, any changes require special permits. As the renovation work starts in a few months, Shah Rukh Khan and his family will temporarily move to their new home.
The four floors of Mannat are used by the Khan family, their security, and staff, along with some office space. A source said, “The new place is not as big as Mannat, but there is enough space for his security and staff.”
On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan, who had huge successes with Jawan and Pathaan in 2023, is now preparing for his next film, King, directed by Siddharth Anand. The film is rumoured to feature Abhishek Bachchan and Suhana Khan.
