How Two Women from One Family Can Get Free Gas Cylinders
Let’s first talk about the old rule. When this scheme was launched, only one woman per family could get a free gas cylinder.
But now, if a family has two women, and both have separate ration cards and use separate identity cards, then the second woman can also apply and receive a free gas connection. However, this will only happen after proper verification by the gas agency and Oil Company.
During verification, your Aadhaar card, bank account, and family ID card will be checked. Only after successful verification will the gas cylinder be issued.

How to Apply for Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana?
If you want to apply for a free gas connection under the Ujjwala Yojana, follow these steps:
First, visit the official website of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana.
Click on “Apply for Ujjwala Yojana”.
You will see names of companies like Indane, Bharat Gas, and HP Gas.
Choose a gas company according to your area or whichever gives good service nearby.
Fill all the required details in the application form.
After filling all details, click submit to send your application. You can also take a printout of it.
After a few days, some person will come for verification from the gas company.
If all your documents are found correct during verification, you will be called to the agency to receive your free gas cylinder.
