India Javelin start Neeraj Chopra happily shared his marriage picture on social media and given good news to his fans. He wrote on social media “Grateful for every blessing that brought us to his moment together. Bound by love, happily ever after. Neeraj, Himani.”
Neeraj Chopra, the star javelin thrower, recently tied the knot, delighting fans across the nation. His wedding comes just months after he won a silver medal at the Paris Olympics, following his gold medal at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics. In Paris, Neeraj achieved a throw of 89.45m on his second attempt, securing second place.
After the Olympics, Neeraj also competed in the Diamond League, where he finished second as well.
In addition to his on-track achievements, Neeraj continues to make an impact off the field. It was announced this week that India will host a global javelin competition in September, featuring the world’s top 10 javelin throwers. Neeraj will play a leading role in organizing this exclusive event, alongside sponsors like JSW and international partners.
Neeraj is also working to boost the sport’s popularity in India. He is advocating for August 7 to be recognized as ‘National Javelin Day,’ in honor of his historic gold medal win at the Tokyo Olympics.
The AFI plans to host several global competitions in the future. India is already bidding to host the 2027 World Relays and the 2029 World Championships.
