Educational Qualification

Below are the details for different technician trainee positions, including the required education and training.

Eligibility

Technician Fitter (Trainee) – Category III

Must have passed 10th standard (Matriculation) or an equivalent exam from a recognized board.

 

Must have completed a 2-year ITI course in Fitter Trade.

 

Should have a Trade Certificate from NCVT or SCVT.

 

Must have completed at least 1 year of Apprenticeship Training under the Apprentices Act, 1961, with a certificate issued by NCVT or SCVT.

Technician Electrician (Trainee) – Category III

Must have passed 10th standard (Matriculation) or an equivalent exam from a recognized board.

 

Must have completed a 2-year ITI course in Electrician Trade.

 

Should have a Trade Certificate from NCVT or SCVT.

 

Must have completed at least 1 year of Apprenticeship Training under the Apprentices Act, 1961, with a certificate issued by NCVT or SCVT.

Technician Welder (Trainee) – Category II

Must have passed 10th standard (Matriculation) or an equivalent exam from a recognized board.

 

Must have completed an ITI course in Welder Trade.

 

Should have a Trade Certificate from NCVT or SCVT.

 

Must have completed at least 1 year of Apprenticeship Training under the Apprentices Act, 1961, with a certificate issued by NCVT or SCVT.

How to Apply Online?

Before start of filling-up of application through online mode, the candidates should keep ready the following documents/details:

Valid Email Id and mobile number for proper communication. It suggested to provide personal email id and mobile number.

Scan copy of recent passport size color Photograph (Photo should be recent), signature, experience certificate, mark sheet, cast certificate etc.

Fill all the details and summit. After submitting a Provisional Registration Number and Password will be generated.  And same sent to the Candidates mail and SMS.

Candidates will have login with registration number and password.

Candidates have to fill all details carefully and upload some important documents like Photo, signature etc.

After submitting application, automatically redirect to payment page, click on the fee and pay the application fee and take print out the receipt.

After submitting the application, candidates take printout of the application for future reference.

Selection Process

Eligible candidates call for the Computer based Test (CBT). Selection will be the based on the score in the Computer Based Test.

Computer Based Test (CBT) – Exam Pattern

A separate CBT (Computer Based Test) will be held for each post.

The test will be of 100 marks and will last for 90 minutes (one sitting).

The exam will have two sections:

Section A – Technical Knowledge

70 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)

Questions will be based on the technical subject/trade related to the post (like Fitter, Electrician, Welder, etc.)

Each question carries 1 mark

Section B – General Topics

30 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)

Covers topics like:

General Knowledge

General Awareness

Reasoning

Verbal & Mental Ability

Quantitative Aptitude

Each question carries 1 mark

Important Points

No negative marking for wrong answers.

No marks will be given for questions that are not attempted.

The question paper will be bilingual – available in English and Hindi.

If there is any difference or error in the Hindi version, the English version will be considered final.
