Many people dream of working in Dubai or other Gulf countries because of the high salaries and better lifestyle. However, in search of a good salary and a better life, many people fall victim to fraudulent agents. Workers, especially those at lower levels, are the most affected by these scams. Through this article, I want to share some important details with you so that you stay informed and avoid falling into such traps.
First of all, let me tell you that I also work in Dubai, and I have personally seen many people being scammed. The stories I will share here are real. I know that many people may still not believe this even after reading, as it is human nature to be skeptical. However, my responsibility is to provide you with the right information—whether you believe it or not is up to you.
How Do Agents Scam or Cheat People?
Here, I will explain how these scams happen. In India, there are many such agents who work in coordination with a main agent based in Dubai or any other Gulf country. The rest of the agents are spread across India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and other places. Their job is to find potential candidates looking for jobs abroad.
Since there is a shortage of jobs in these countries, these agents know exactly how to trick people. They approach job seekers, offer them attractive job opportunities with high salaries, and demand a huge amount of money—ranging from ₹2 lakh to ₹5 lakh or even more. They know that if they offer high-paying jobs, people will be willing to pay.
These agents usually deal with small companies for job placements, but the salary they promise is a lie.
I want to inform you that working in Dubai or any Gulf country requires a valid visa and insurance. Small companies do not provide visas and insurance for their workers. Instead, they deduct visa costs from the worker’s salary. However, agents take money from job seekers by claiming that they will arrange everything, including visa and tickets.
In reality, these agents do not process work visas; they send people to Dubai on visit visas. Once you arrive, you have to find a job on your own. If you get hired by a company, they will apply for your work visa, but you will have to pay for it yourself because the agent does not give any money to the company for your visa.
When you try to contact the agent after reaching Dubai, their phone will be switched off because they stop using that number.
Although you may find a job, the salary you were promised is false. The company will pay you a much lower salary and will deduct visa and insurance costs from your earnings. After all these deductions, you will only be left with around ₹10,000 to ₹15,000, from which you have to manage your expenses and also send money to your family.
Different Types of Agent Frauds
Some agents take money, get you a job, but lie about the salary.
They promise a high salary but, in reality, you get much less.
You have to pay for your visa and insurance from your own salary.
Some agents take money but do not provide any job.
They take a large sum of money and either disappear or send you to Dubai on a fake visa.
Many people have received fake visas, and I have personally seen such cases.
How to Apply for a Job in Gulf Countries?
If you want to work in a Gulf country, never go through an agent. Not all agents are frauds, but it is very difficult to identify a genuine one.
Instead, follow these steps:
Contact someone who is already working in Dubai or a Gulf country to get accurate information.
Apply through government-approved agencies to ensure safety and authenticity.
Never give your passport to an agent—this is a huge mistake that could cost you dearly.
One important fact: If you genuinely get a job in a Gulf country, the company will provide your visa, insurance, and flight ticket.
If you receive a visa, you can check its authenticity on the official government website. All valid visa data is available online.

एजेंट आपके साथ धोखाधड़ी कैसे करता है?
मैं आपको बताने जा रहा हूँ कि एजेंट किस तरह से लोगों को धोखा देते हैं। भारत में ऐसे कई एजेंट हैं जिनका संपर्क दुबई या अन्य गल्फ देशों में बैठे मुख्य एजेंट से होता है। ये एजेंट भारत, पाकिस्तान, बांग्लादेश, श्रीलंका जैसी जगहों पर काम करते हैं और लोगों को नौकरी के सपने दिखाकर फँसाते हैं।
हमारे देश और पड़ोसी देशों में नौकरी की कमी के कारण इन एजेंटों को पता होता है कि बेरोजगार युवाओं को कैसे बेवकूफ बनाना है। वे आपसे मिलते हैं, आपको नौकरी का ऑफर देते हैं और बहुत अच्छी सैलरी का वादा करते हैं। फिर, वे आपसे 2 लाख से 5 लाख रुपये या उससे भी ज्यादा की मांग करते हैं। क्योंकि वे जानते हैं कि अगर वे बढ़िया सैलरी और अच्छी नौकरी का ऑफर देंगे, तो लोग पैसा देने को तैयार हो जाएंगे।
एजेंट छोटी कंपनियों में नौकरी की बात करते हैं, लेकिन जो सैलरी बताते हैं, वह झूठी होती है।
अगर आप गल्फ देशों में काम करने जाते हैं, तो वहाँ वीज़ा और इंश्योरेंस की जरूरत होती है। छोटी कंपनियाँ अपने कर्मचारियों को वीज़ा और इंश्योरेंस नहीं देतीं, बल्कि उनकी सैलरी से वीज़ा का पैसा काट लेती हैं। लेकिन एजेंट आपसे पैसे यह कहकर लेता है कि वह वीज़ा, टिकट और बाकी सभी चीज़ों का इंतज़ाम कर देगा।
असल में, एजेंट लोग वीज़ा नहीं करवाते हैं, बल्कि आपको विज़िट वीज़ा पर भेजते हैं। जब आप वहाँ पहुँचते हैं, तो आपको किसी कंपनी में जॉइनिंग मिलती है। जॉइनिंग के बाद, कंपनी आपके लिए वर्क वीज़ा अप्लाई करती है और उसका पैसा आपसे मांगती है। क्योंकि एजेंट कंपनी को वीज़ा का पैसा नहीं देता।
जब आप एजेंट से संपर्क करने की कोशिश करते हैं, तो उनका फ़ोन स्विच ऑफ हो जाता है, क्योंकि वे अपना नंबर बंद कर लेते हैं।
आपको नौकरी तो मिल जाती है, लेकिन जो सैलरी बताई गई थी, वह झूठी होती है।
कंपनी आपको कम सैलरी देती है और उसमें से वीज़ा व इंश्योरेंस का पैसा काट लेती है। अंत में, आपके पास सिर्फ 10,000 से 15,000 रुपये ही बचते हैं, जिसमें आपको खाने का खर्च भी निकालना होता है और अपने परिवार को भी पैसे भेजने होते हैं।
एजेंट किस तरह की धोखाधड़ी करते हैं?
कुछ एजेंट आपको नौकरी दिला देते हैं, लेकिन बहुत बड़ा पैसा लेते हैं। जो सैलरी वे बताते हैं, उतनी सैलरी नहीं मिलती और वीज़ा और इंश्योरेंस का पैसा भी आपकी सैलरी से काटा जाता है।
कुछ एजेंट आपसे पैसे तो ले लेते हैं, लेकिन नौकरी नहीं दिलाते। वे नौकरी के नाम पर पैसे ऐंठते हैं और आपको गलत या डुप्लीकेट वीज़ा देते हैं, जो वैध नहीं होता।
मैंने खुद ऐसे नकली वीज़ा देखे हैं, जो लोगों को दिए जाते हैं और वे नकली साबित होते हैं।
मेरी आप सभी से अपील है कि ऐसे फ़र्ज़ी एजेंटों से बचें और दूसरों को भी सतर्क करें।
गल्फ में नौकरी के लिए कैसे अप्लाई करें?
अगर आप गल्फ देशों में नौकरी करना चाहते हैं, तो किसी एजेंट के माध्यम से न जाएं।
सभी एजेंट गलत नहीं होते, लेकिन सही एजेंट को पहचानना बहुत मुश्किल होता है। इसलिए, अगर आप गल्फ में नौकरी करना चाहते हैं, तो ऐसे लोगों से संपर्क करें जो पहले से वहाँ काम कर रहे हैं। या फिर, सरकारी मान्यता प्राप्त एजेंसियों के माध्यम से अप्लाई करें।
सबसे महत्वपूर्ण बात:
किसी भी एजेंट को अपना पासपोर्ट न दें और यह गलती कभी न करें।
अगर आपको गल्फ देश में नौकरी मिलती है, तो वीज़ा, इंश्योरेंस और टिकट कंपनी देती है, न कि एजेंट।
