IRCTC Q3 Results: IRCTC Reports 14% Rise in Q3 Net Profit, Revenue Reaches ₹1,225 Crore

IRCTC reported a net profit of ₹341 crore in Q3 FY25, reflecting a 14% year-on-year increase. The company’s revenue from operations reached ₹1,225 crore, registering a 10% growth compared to ₹1,115 crore in the same quarter of the previous financial year.

Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) reported a 14% increase in net profit for the December quarter, reaching ₹341 crore, compared to ₹300 crore in the same period last year.

The company’s revenue from operations for Q3 FY25 stood at ₹1,225 crore, which is 10% higher than the ₹1,115 crore recorded in Q3 of the previous financial year.

IRCTC also announced a second interim dividend of ₹3 per share for the financial year 2024-25.

On a quarterly basis, net profit grew 11% from ₹308 crore in the July-September quarter (Q2 FY25). Revenue also increased by 15%, up from ₹1,064 crore in Q2 FY25.

Even though expenses were higher during this quarter, the company managed to achieve double-digit growth in both profit and revenue. Total expenses in Q3 FY25 reached ₹824.28 crore, an 11% increase from ₹740 crore in the same period last year. Compared to the previous quarter, expenses rose by 4.6%.

The increased expenses were due to higher material costs, stock purchases, and employee benefits, among other factors.

Catering Business:

Generated ₹555 crore in revenue, up from ₹482 crore in Q2FY25 and ₹508 crore in Q3FY24.

Rail Neer (Packaged Drinking Water):

Earned ₹96 crore, increasing from ₹90 crore in Q2FY25 and ₹84 crore in Q3FY24.

Internet Ticketing:

Reported ₹354 crore in revenue, slightly lower than ₹371 crore in Q2FY25 but higher than ₹335 crore in Q3FY24.

Tourism Business:

Saw a major jump, reaching ₹224 crore in revenue, compared to ₹124 crore in Q2FY25 and ₹193 crore in Q3FY24.

The results were announced after market hours. IRCTC’s stock closed at ₹750.10 on the NSE, dropping ₹23.60 (3.05%) from Friday’s closing price.

IRCTC Dividend: Railway PSU Stock Announced the 2nd interim dividend of ₹3/Share.

The board of Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has approved a second interim dividend of ₹3 per share. This decision was announced along with the company’s financial results for the third quarter of the financial year 2024-25 on Tuesday, February 11.

In an official statement, IRCTC said, “The Board of Directors, in its meeting on February 11, 2025, has declared a second interim dividend of ₹3 per equity share, which has a face value of ₹2. This means a 150% dividend for the financial year 2024-25.”

The company has set Thursday, February 20, 2025, as the record date to determine which shareholders will be eligible to receive this dividend.
