In fact, last month, a delegation from the Government Employees National Confederation (GENC) met with Union Minister Jitendra Singh, who stated that he was discussing the 8th Pay Commission with the state government.

Government can announce DA and formation of 8th pay commission committee together.
But Central Government has given 2% DA only from January 2025 to June 2025 that is total 55%, but from July 2025 to December 2025 they are expecting around 3% DA.
Also Employees Union demanding for 18th month dues Dearness Allowances which was not given during Covid- 19 period. This news also in media and everyday union taking about dues DA, so Government can also sign on past DA.

Fitment factor is the formula based number to implement into the basic salary structure of the Employees and pensioners. In 7th pay commission fitment factor was 2.57 and this time expectation is high. They are demanding to implement fitment factor also from 2.57 to 2.87 or 3.0 time of basic salary.
