Terrorist Attack in Pahalgam
Kashmir Terror Attack: A very tragic and heart-wrenching incident has happened in our country. This is one such event that we can’t even imagine in our worst dreams. The incident took place Pahalgam in Jammu Kashmir. On Tuesday, in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, terrorists opened fire on tourists. It is being reported that 28 people have died, including two foreign nationals.
According to the information, around 10 terrorists kept firing on tourists for nearly 17 minutes using advanced rifles.
One of the tourists, Manjunath, who had come from Shivamogga in Karnataka, also lost his life after being shot. When his wife told the terrorists, “You have killed my husband, shoot me too,” the terrorist replied, “I won’t kill you. Go and tell to Modi.”
They Killed My Husband in Front of Me and Said Go Tell Modi
Manjunath’s wife said that the terrorists killed her husband right in front of her and told her to go inform Prime Minister Modi. It was a very painful moment. She shared that Manjunath had come to Kashmir with his family for a holiday, but they had no idea that something so horrific would happen to them.
Manjunath’s wife Pallavi also said that the terrorists first asked for their names, and when they found out he was Hindu, they shot him. Pallavi is in deep shock. She requested that her husband’s body be airlifted and brought home.
She told the media that there were three of them – her husband, their son, and herself. The attack happened around 1:30 PM, and the terrorists started firing rapidly. Her husband died on the spot. She said this whole event felt like a horrible nightmare.
Shot Because He Was Hindu
Another woman said that she and her husband were sitting and eating bhel, Terrorist came and said, “He doesn’t look like a Muslim, shoot him.” And they shot her husband. Everyone around was screaming for help.
In this incident, some lost their sons, some lost their husbands—everyone lost someone dear.
Local Citizens Came Forward to Help
Manjunath’s wife shared that after the attack, some local residents came forward and helped them. She sad that the terrorists specifically targeted Hindus and only shot those who were Hindu. She said that 3 to 4 terrorists attacked them, and kill her husband, after killing her husband, when she asked to be shot me as well, the terrorist said, “Go and tell Modi.”
Delhi and Jaipur on High Alert
After this tragic attack, Delhi and Jaipur have been put on high alert. It’s important to note that U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance and his family are currently visiting India, so their security has also been increased.
Government has request to all Pahalgam tourist to stay in hotel. Security in the region has been tightened.
Our Home Minister Amit Shah has already reached Jammu and Kashmir and is conducting a high-level meeting. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who was in Saudi Arabia at that time, received detailed updates about the incident. He has now returned to India and is closely monitoring the situation.
One Confirmed Dead, Seven Injured in Attack
So far, 26 people have been killed in the attack, including two foreign tourists. As soon as information about the incident came, security forces were sent to the area.
A senior police officer said that as soon as gunshots were heard, security teams were rushed to the Baisaran area, which is not accessible by vehicles.
