Pakistani Wife of Indian Soldier Told to Leave India

One of the major decisions taken was to cancel the visas of all Pakistani nationals living in India and to order them to return to Pakistan. Everyone was given a limited time to leave the country.
CRPF Jawan's Wife Gets Notice to Leave India
Amid this situation, a news story emerged involving a CRPF jawan who had married a Pakistani woman online. After their marriage, his wife, Meenal Khan, had come to India and was living with him. However, following the Pahalgam terror attack, the Indian government issued a notice to all Pakistani nationals in the country, including Meenal Khan, asking them to return to Pakistan.
Meenal Khan had already boarded a bus to return to Pakistan when she received a good news update from her advocate. The lawyer informed her that she would no longer be required to leave India. Her face lit up with happiness after hearing that she could stay in the country with her husband.
When Did Meenal Khan Come to India?
As mentioned earlier, Meenal Khan and the CRPF jawan got married online. Originally from Pakistan, Meenal Khan fell in love with Munir Khan, a CRPF jawan from India. They got married, and Meenal moved to India in March 2025. Since then, she had been living with her husband, Munir Khan. Just I want to tell you that Meenal is Cousin sister of Munir khan and she is wife of Munir.
Last-Minute Twist: Meenal Khan Gets Relief Just Before Being Sent to Pakistan
On Thursday, just as Meenal Khan was about to reach the Attari-Wagah border, a dramatic twist occurred—like a scene from a movie. Her lawyer, Ankush Sharma, managed to get a stay order from the court. As a result, the process of sending her back to Pakistan was immediately stopped.
Advocate Ankush Sharma explained that Meenal didn’t have a long-term visa, which is why she was being sent to the Attari border. A case was filed in the Jammu & Kashmir High Court, and after a hearing, the court passed an interim order. Following this, Meenal was brought back to Jammu instead of being sent to Pakistan.
Who Is Exempted from Deportation?
According to Sharma, the Indian government’s order included exemptions for two categories of people: those holding diplomatic visas and those with long-term visas. Meenal has a positive recommendation for a long-term visa. Ankush Sharma is not only a lawyer but also a BJP leader. As per his social media profile, he is also a spokesperson for the Jammu and Kashmir BJP.
