NASA’s SpaceX Crew-10

You might already know that Sunita Williams has been stuck in space for several months, and numerous efforts have been made to bring her back. Now, there is very good news for her, her well-wishers, and her family. She will soon return from space.

Through this article, we will inform you about how and when Sunita Williams and her fellow astronauts will return.

According to a news agency, Sunita Williams will be returning very soon. NASA is taking help from SpaceX to bring her back, and SpaceX will complete this project, for which all preparations have been made.

Crew-10 Mission Objective

NASA is launching a mission called Crew-10 to bring back Sunita Williams and her fellow astronauts from space. This mission is scheduled to be launched on March 13, 2025, at 06:30 AM (Indian Time) from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center, Florida. Under this mission, four astronauts will be sent to the International Space Station (ISS).

The main objective of the Crew-10 mission is to conduct research in microgravity, perform technological experiments, and work on improving human life in space.

The ISS has been home to astronauts for over 20 years, helping scientists learn more about space and test new technology. NASA is using the ISS to prepare for longer missions to the Moon and Mars. At the same time, private companies are developing new ways to send people and cargo to space.

Crew-10 is the 10th mission that SpaceX is flying for NASA’s Commercial Crew Program. Their work on the ISS will support future deep-space missions while also benefiting people on Earth.

NASA’s SpaceX Crew-10 Mission Prepares for Launch

Four astronauts are getting ready to travel to the International Space Station (ISS) as part of NASA’s SpaceX Crew-10 mission. They are:

Anne McClain (NASA, USA) – Commander

Nichole Ayers (NASA, USA) – Pilot

Takuya Onishi (JAXA, Japan) – Mission Specialist

Kirill Peskov (Roscosmos, Russia) – Mission Specialist

They are scheduled to launch no earlier than February 2025. Once they arrive, they will join other astronauts already aboard the ISS for a long stay. During their mission, they will conduct scientific research and test new technology to help future space missions and improve life on Earth.

Who Will Be Returning?

Currently, astronauts from the Starliner and Crew-9 missions are at the ISS, and due to some technical issues in space, they were unable to return on time. Since then, NASA has been making continuous efforts to bring them back, and now, those efforts are about to succeed.

The Crew-10 mission will bring back all the Crew-9 astronauts, including Sunita Williams.

Anne McClain

This is McClain’s second trip to space. She is a U.S. Army colonel and a trained pilot with over 2,300 flight hours in 24 types of aircraft. She also played for the U.S. Women’s National Rugby Team. McClain previously spent 204 days in space and completed two spacewalks.

Nichole Ayers

Ayers is a U.S. Air Force major and the first astronaut from NASA’s 2021 class to be chosen for a mission. She has flown fighter jets like the F-22 Raptor and has over 1,400 flight hours, including 200 in combat. She has degrees in mathematics and computational science.

Takuya Onishi

This is Onishi’s second time on the ISS. He was the first Japanese astronaut to capture a cargo spacecraft with the station’s robotic arm. He has also worked as a flight director for JAXA, Japan’s space agency. Before becoming an astronaut, he was a pilot for All Nippon Airways, flying Boeing 767s.

Kirill Peskov

This will be Peskov’s first spaceflight. Before becoming a cosmonaut, he was a co-pilot on Boeing 757 and 767 aircraft. He has also trained in skydiving, scuba diving, and survival skills.
