Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj (confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and the mythical Mahakumbh 2025 is being held in Prayagraj after 12 years. The religious festival began on Paush Purnima (January 13) and will conclude on February 26.

Since Wednesday morning, over 3.75 million devotees have taken a holy dip at the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers. More devotees are expected to arrive throughout the day.

According to the Uttar Pradesh government, the event has already welcomed over 38 crore pilgrims from across India and the world. Saraswati rivers).

Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam during his visit to Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, on Wednesday. He was accompanied by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

Mahakumbh 2025 started on January 13 (Paush Purnima) and will continue until February 26 (Mahashivratri). The event is expected to attract millions of devotees from across the country.

During his visit, PM Modi took a dip in the sacred river, offered prayers, chanted mantras, and held rudraksha beads while standing in the water. Before taking the dip, he also enjoyed a boat ride in the Yamuna River with CM Yogi Adityanath.

Initially, it was planned that PM Modi would visit the State Pavilion and Netra Kumbh, but his schedule was revised. After participating in Mahakumbh 2025, he is not expected to attend any other programs before returning.

This is PM Modi second visit to Prayagraj in the last three months. During his previous visit, he inaugurated 167 development projects worth ₹5,500 crore, aimed at improving connectivity, public facilities, and infrastructure in the city.

The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi arrived in Prayagraj at 10 AM and traveled to the VIP Jetty on the Nishadraj Cruise. He stayed there for about an hour before taking a boat ride on the Yamuna River with Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath.

Later, PM Modi took a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam during Mahakumbh 2025 and performed rituals and prayers. His visit coincided with Magh Ashtami, an auspicious day in the Hindu calendar associated with devotion and charity.

There is no official confirmation on whether PM Modi will visit Akshayvat, Saraswati Koop, or Bade Hanuman Mandir to offer prayers. After completing his rituals at the Sangam, he is expected to return from the city.
