What is the Kisan Credit Card (KCC)?

The KCC scheme was launched in 1998 to provide short-term loans to farmers at subsidized interest rates. Farmers who maintain a good credit score can also avail of additional benefits and subsidies. The card is typically valid for five years and must be renewed annually.

Documents Required for KCC Application
To complete the application, farmers need to submit the following documents:
- Two passport-size photos.
ID proof: Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, Driving License, or Passport.
Address proof: Aadhaar Card or Driving License.
Proof of Landholding duly certified by the revenue authorities.
Crop pattern details and any other required documents.
Security documents for loan limits above RS. 1.60 lakh/3.00 lakh, as applicable.

How to Apply for a Kisan Credit Card Online?
Farmers can apply for a Kisan Credit Card through banks either online or offline. Some banks also offer biometric authentication for a smoother process.
How to apply online?
- Visit the Bank’s Website: Go to the official website of the bank where you want to apply.
Select “Kisan Credit Card”: Look for the KCC option under the list of services.
Click “Apply”: This will open the application form.
Fill all required details and submit the application.
- You will Receive Reference Number After submission, you will get an application reference number.
Wait for Confirmation If eligible, the bank will contact you within 3-4 working days.

Offline Application Process
- Kisan can also apply offline. To apply offline application kisan can visit the nearest Bank Branch (Any Bank according to your choice).
After visiting the Bank contact with any representative of Bank and process the application.
