She said:
“I want to clarify that this news is not true. The reports about me replacing Disha Vakani as Daya Ben are completely false. These are my old pictures that have gone viral again.”
She also revealed that she has been receiving calls and messages from fans asking about her joining TMKOC. However, she confirmed that she is already working on another show, “Jhanak,” and has no connection with TMKOC at the moment.
“Yes, I did audition for the role of Daya Ben in 2022, and now those old pictures are surfacing again. But right now, I can say that this is totally fake news.”
Is TMKOC Getting a New Daya Ben?
While Kajal Pisal has denied joining the show, TMKOC’s makers are indeed searching for a new Daya Ben.
According to a report by News18, the show’s creator Asit Modi has shortlisted an actress for the role. Though her identity is still a secret, sources say that mock shoots with the actress have already started.
A source revealed
“Yes, it is true. Asit Ji has been looking for a new Daya Ben for a long time. Recently, one of the auditions impressed him a lot. The actress has been shooting with us for about a week now.”
Even though the show has continued successfully for 16 years, fans still miss Daya Ben’s presence. The makers have tried different storylines, but the demand for Daya Ben’s return has remained strong.
