Good news for the candidates who have already completed ITI and they are looking for the Apprenticeship, the East Central Railway (ECR), PATNA has invited the application for the Apprenticeship program in various trades and total 1154 posts. Online application started from 25.01.2025 and last date is 14.02.2025.
May you don’t know but I want to tell you that, Maximum Candidates of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh is doing the ITI course. Main objective of ITI to join Government job especially Railway.
This vacancy is for those candidates who already complete ITI in different trade. Those candidates already completed ITI and interested to join the Apprenticeship program they can apply online from 25.01.2025 to 14.02.2025.
What is Apprenticeship?
Many of the candidates don’t know about the Apprenticeship, so I will tell you about Apprenticeship. Apprenticeship is a training program and the duration of this program is 6 months to 2 years, it is depend on the industry and government rules. And also, under the Apprenticeship candidates will get some stipend as a pocket money and also after training they will get the Certificate and this certificate you can show in the next interview.

Age Limit as on 01.01.2025
Minimum: 15Years
Maximum: 24 Years
Age relaxation
The upper age limit is relax able for following specified categories
SC/ST candidates: 05 Years
OBC candidates: 03 Years
For Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) -10 years for UR, 13 years for OBC and 15 years for SC/ST candidates.
Relaxation for Ex-servicemen in the age will be total Military service plus 3 years subject to completion of at least six months regular attested service.
Essential Qualification
The candidates must have passed Matric/10th class examination or its equivalent (Under 10+2 examination) with minimum 50% marks in aggregate, from recognized Board and ITI in relevant trade (i.e. National Trade Certificate in the notified trade issued by National Council for Vocational Training or Provisional Certificate issued by National Council for Vocational Training/State Council Training).
Application Fee for Apprenticeship
Gen/OBC/EWS: RS 100/-
SC/ST/Divyang (PwBD)/Women candidates are exempted from payment of processing fee.
Candidates can pay the examination fee through Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking only.
Mode of Selection
Selection will be based on a merit list prepared for each Division/Unit.
The merit list will be created by taking the average percentage of marks obtained in:
Matriculation (10th standard) – Minimum 50% aggregate marks required.
ITI Examination – Equal weightage will be given to both Matriculation and ITI marks.
Candidates will be shortlisted based on this merit score.

Candidates have to register themselves and login.
Candidates have to fill all details carefully and have to choose the trade also and upload some important documents like Photo, signature etc.
After that click for next and pay the processing fee online.
- After that submit the application form and take printout for future reference.
Training Stipend
Training will follow the standards and syllabus set by the Central Apprenticeship Council.
Stipend will be provided at applicable rates, which may change as per Railway Board guidelines.
No hostel accommodation will be provided; selected candidates must arrange their own stay.
Training will be conducted as per the Apprentices Act, 1961, and candidates will be released upon completion.
Agreement of Training
Before starting Apprenticeship training in the chosen trade, the selected candidate must sign a Contract of Apprenticeship Training as per the applicable rules.
If the employer fails to follow the terms and conditions of the contract (as per the Apprenticeship Rules, 1992) and the contract is terminated, the candidate will receive Apprentice Compensation as specified.
However, the employer is not required to offer a job to the apprentice after completing the training, and the apprentice is not obligated to accept any job from the employer.
