Selection Process
Written Exam: Conducted in two stages – Preliminary and Main Exam.
Physical Fitness Test: Includes running, high jump, long jump, and shot put.
Medical Examination: Candidates must meet physical and medical standards.

Number of Questions: 100 (General Knowledge & Current Affairs)
Duration: 2 hours
Qualifying Marks: 30% (Candidates scoring below will be disqualified)
Selection Ratio: 20 times the number of vacancies will qualify for the Main Exam.
Main Exam
Paper 1

Duration: 2 hours
Subjects: General Hindi (Minimum Qualifying: 30%)
Note: Hindi paper marks will not be counted in final merit.

Number of Questions: 100
Subjects: General Studies, General Science, Civics, History, Geography, Mathematics, and Mental Ability
Duration: 2 hours
Selection Ratio: 6 times the number of vacancies will qualify for the Physical Test.
Negative Marking: 0.2 marks deducted per wrong answer.

Before start of filling-up of application through online mode, the candidates should keep ready the following documents/details:

Valid Email Id and mobile number for proper communication. It suggested to provide personal email id and mobile number.
Scan copy of recent passport size color Photograph (Photo should be recent), signature, experience certificate, mark sheet, cast certificate etc.
To apply online Candidates, visit the official website of BPSSC.
Click on the “Recruitment” tab on website home page and click on “Recruitment for the Posts of Sub-Inspector Prohibition.
Fill all required details, select the post, write the name, date of birth, and contact details for one-time registration.
Verify the OTP received on registered on e-mail ID and mobile number.
After that a provisional Registration number and password will be generated by the system and displayed on the screen and same send to Email Id and Mobile Number.
After the successful registration Candidates fill all the details and Upload all required documents like photo, Signature, certificate etc.
Click on the fee and pay the application fee and take print out the receipt.
After submitting the application, candidates take printout of the application for future reference.
