Selection Process
Candidates will be select according to the details fill by the candidates and according to the Diploma Marks of the candidates.
Minimum qualification for the Bihar Panchayati Raj is Diploma in civil engineering from the recognized polytechnic college.
Based on the online applications, a merit list will be prepared on the basis of the percentage of marks obtained in the Diploma.
Out of the total vacant posts, 40 percent of the positions will be reserved for civilian diploma holders from government polytechnic institutions under the state government.
In case of equal marks in the merit list, preference will be given to the candidate who is older in age.
Vacancies arising from the waiting list can be filled within the next one year.
The number of vacancies may increase or decrease, and related updates will be made available from time to time on the official departmental website.
The selection for the said post will be done at the district level by a selection committee constituted under the chairmanship of the District Magistrate. The composition of the committee is as follows:
(i) District Magistrate – Chairperson
(ii) Deputy Development Commissioner – Vice Chairperson
(iii) One officer from the Scheduled Caste/Tribe category (to be nominated by the District Magistrate) – Member
(iv) One officer from the Minority category (to be nominated by the District Magistrate) – Member
(v) District Panchayati Raj Officer – Member Secretary
Contract Agreement:
The selection will be made in accordance with Resolution No. 4046 dated 25.07.2018. As per the terms of the contract, an agreement will be signed with the District Panchayati Raj Officer.
A person appointed on a contractual basis will neither be considered a government employee nor be entitled to any benefits admissible to government employees. Therefore, after the appointment, the person will not have any right to claim regularization in government service under any circumstances. Their appointment will be governed under Resolution No. 4046 dated 25.07.2018.
The duration of this appointment will be until 31st March 2026. If required, the service period may be extended with the approval of the competent authority. However, no claim for extension shall be considered valid.
The decision of the department regarding the appointment will be final. This appointment can be cancelled at any time, and no claim from the applicant will be accepted.
Selected candidates must provide a medical fitness certificate issued by the Civil Surgeon cum Chief Medical Officer before joining.
