Asia Cup 2025: India vs Pakistan match was played on Sunday in which Pakistan had to face defeat. Pakistan Cricket Board says that our Indian player insulted the Pakistan cricket team.

No Handshake after Winning Match

The Pakistani cricket team is saying to itself that the Indian cricket team insulted Pakistani Cricket team and the Pakistani team is unable to digest this insult.

The fact is that the Asia Cup 2025 tour is taking place in Dubai and on Sunday, 14 September, a match was played between India and Pakistan in which India defeated Pakistan badly and after the match ended, the Indian Cricket Team Player did not shake hands with any Pakistani player. And PCB (Pakistan Cricket Board) has registered official complain in ACC against Indian Cricket Team for not shaking hands with Pakistani player.

Yes this is true. If we talk about the insult of Pakistani Cricket Team as well as Pakistani, then I want to clear that we played with you this is enough. I want to tell you that we all Indian actually don’t want to play with you and also don’t want any relation with you.

In the Asia Cup 2025 clash between India and Pakistan, the Pakistani team is upset after their heavy defeat. They believe Team India insulted them by not shaking hands after the match. Pakistan has called it against the spirit of the game and lodged an official complaint with the Asian Cricket Council. Team manager Naveed Akram Cheema submitted the complaint to match referee Andy Pycroft. The PCB has confirmed this and released an official statement.

PCB Official Statements?

According to India Today, the PCB said that the match referee had advised Salman Agha not to shake hands with the Indian captain during the toss. However, after the match, there was no such instruction. The statement added this clarification.

During the toss, the match referee advised Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha not to shake hands with Suryakumar Yadav. But after the match, no such instruction was given. Still, the Indian team did not come forward for a handshake. Because of this, Pakistan team manager Naveed Akram Cheema officially filed a protest against Team India, calling their behavior against the spirit of the game.

The PCB also clarified that this was the reason why Salman Ali Agha did not attend the post-match presentation. In its statement, the PCB said Agha skipped the presentation as a protest against the Indian team’s behavior.

Pakistan Coach Mike Hesson Reacts

Pakistan coach Mike Hesson also expressed his disappointment in the press conference. He said, “We were ready to shake hands after the match.

It was disappointing that Team India did not do so. We went there, but they had already gone back to the dressing room. It was a disappointing end to the game. We were upset with our performance, but still wanted to show respect by shaking hands.”

What Actually Happened After the Match?

So why was Pakistan upset? The issue started when Suryakumar Yadav hit the winning six and, along with Shivam Dube, went straight to the dressing room without shaking hands.

At first it seemed Pakistan players were also not interested, but later their entire team, including captain Agha and coach Hesson, came near the Indian dressing room. However, India’s team management closed the door. Embarrassed, the Pakistan players returned to their dugout.

Suryakumar Yadav’s Emotional Message

After the win, Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav dedicated the victory to the Indian Armed Forces. He said, “We stand with the families of the victims of the Pahalgam terror attack. We dedicate this win to the brave soldiers who showed courage during Operation Sindoor. We hope they keep inspiring us, and we give them moments of joy through our game.”

With this win against Pakistan, Team India entered the Super-4 stage of the Asia Cup 2025. Their next group match is against Oman on September 19. If Pakistan beats UAE on September 17, they will also qualify, which means India and Pakistan could face each other again in the Super-4.
