Ajith Kumar will receive the India’s Third-Highest Civilian Honour, ‘Padma Bhusan Award’

Good news for Ajith Kumar fans, government of India has announced Padma Bhushan Award for actor Ajith Kumar. After being confirmed Padma Bhusan, Ajith Kumar remembers his late father. After the confirmation from the Government, the family member and his fans are very happy and excited.

Actor Ajith Kumar has been awarded the prestigious Padma Bhushan, India’s third-highest civilian award. He is one of the 19 recipients of this honour.

Reacting to the news, Ajith expressed his gratitude in a heartfelt statement:

“I am deeply humbled and honoured to receive the esteemed Padma Award by the President of India. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the Hon’ble President, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, and the Honourable Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, for this recognition. This award is not just a personal achievement but a testament to the collective efforts and support of many.”

Ajith also thanked his family, friends, and late father. “I wish my father were alive to see this day. I hope he would be proud that his legacy lives on in all that I do. I am forever grateful to my mother for her love and sacrifices that helped me become who I am today.”

He further thanked his wife, Shalini, for being a pillar of strength. “To my wife, Shalini, my companion of nearly 25 years, your support has been a cornerstone of my success. And to my children, Anoushka and Aadvik, you inspire me to set an example of living well and doing good.”

Ajith has had a successful film career spanning over three decades, acting in more than 60 films. After his debut in Amaravathi (1993), he gained fame with romance films and later transitioned into action roles in movies like Amarkalam, Dheena, and Citizen. Hits like Varalaaru, Billa, and Mankatha established him as a top star in Tamil cinema. He has also won the Kalaimamani award and three Tamil Nadu State Film Awards.

Apart from Ajith, film producer and politician Nandamuri Balakrishna, veteran director Shekhar Kapur, and Malayalam author-screenwriter M.T. Vasudevan Nair (posthumously) were also honoured with Padma awards this year.
